Why Pride season is so good for collabs

Outside of summer, finding people to shoot with is a scheduling nightmare. Different cities, different time zones, someone always cancels. During Pride season all of that disappears. Thousands of creators are already traveling to the same places on the same weekends. The friction is gone.

You end up meeting people you'd never cross paths with normally. Someone from the UK, someone from Brazil, someone from Australia, all in the same city for the same weekend. Those connections turn into collabs that would've never happened if everyone stayed home.

Location content stands out too. A rooftop in Madrid, a canal boat in Amsterdam, a park in Copenhagen. Your audience notices when the backdrop changes. Shoot with a creator who has a completely different fanbase and suddenly you're reaching people who never would've found you.

Euromaxing pride

The temptation is to treat every Pride stop as a work trip. Fly in, shoot, post, fly out. That burns you out by city three and your audience can tell. Everything starts looking the same.

The stuff that actually performs? Content where you look like you're genuinely having a good time. Sitting at a canal with someone you just met, eating something weird from a street vendor, laughing at something that happened at the parade. That's what people save and share.

So hit the Prides, but actually live them. And pick routes that work geographically so you're spending time in cities instead of airports.

Beach to blow-out (June): Sitges (parade Jun 14) → Paris (parade Jun 27) → Madrid (starts Jun 25). Two weeks covering an intimate beach town, the most romantic city in the world, and the biggest Pride party in Europe. Sitges to Paris is a cheap flight. Paris to Madrid is a 2.5hr flight or overnight train.

The Big Weekend (early July): Madrid (parade Jul 4) and Cologne (parade Jul 5) happen back to back. Two of Europe's five biggest Prides in one weekend. Multiple travel blogs flag this combination because of how close the dates fall. 2hr flight between them.

WorldPride corridor (mid-July into August): Barcelona (parade Jul 18) → Berlin (CSD Jul 25) → Amsterdam (Canal Parade Aug 1, WorldPride March Aug 8). Three Saturdays, three parades, one week apart each. Barcelona to Berlin is a 2.5hr flight. Berlin to Amsterdam is a short flight or 6hr train. This is the one everyone's building their summer around.

Off-peak (September): Malta (parade Sep 12) → Belgrade (parade Sep 19). Smaller events, cheaper everything, and Belgrade is one of Europe's most politically significant Prides. Good if peak-summer crowds aren't your thing.

Budget flights across Europe go for 20 to 60 euros. Trains between neighboring countries are similar. Book accommodation early for Amsterdam WorldPride, everything else fills up slower.
